extension does not start, sometime when starting crashes gnome-shell

Bug Description

It does not start ...

Starting tested from 'gnome-tweaks' application and form Firefox Gnome extensions plugin.

On extension page https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/941/show-ip/ there are reports about malfunction too.

Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 1847975

fyi: the best information available would be after a crash has occurred, submitting the crash report found in /var/crash/ using `ubuntu-bug`.
