Desktop icons disappearing when saving a file

I usually have got txt files or another icons in desktop, when I edit the txt files, and pres save. Sometimes the txt files disappear of the desktop.

It's great you have a patch, thanks! But please move to Ubuntu bug 1883174 and upstream issue #200 for tracking it.
