Bug Description
I have two folders visible in my desktop but not in the folder desktop (personal folder and trash), they were there when I installed Ubuntu.
Some days ago I've added two .txt files on the desktop folder.
Theses two files don't open when I double click, select and press Enter, or right click and select "open". To open them from the desktop, I have to right click, select "open with another application", then it opens a window and I select my program.
After doing it two times and execute ubuntu-bug, select "open with..." don't open anymore the window but opens directly the file with the program I've selected before (it acts like "open").
To pinpoint the problem, I've copied two new .txt files, one with nautilus and one with right click on the desktop. Theses new files open normally, with double click or select and Enter.
So the two other files are kind of locked...
I am not sure if the problem comes from xdg-desktop-portal package, but I could not find a "better" package...

I found a way to "solve" my problem :
when I copied my .txt files from my external hard drive, the rights of files was 777 (rwxrwxrwx), and when I changed it to 664 (rw-rw-r--) it solved my problem. Now I can open files from the desktop by double click, select and Enter, or right click and "open".
There is still a problem with the menu option "open with..." : it opens directly with the default program without asking witch program I want to use.
There is still some files that are not opened (those with rights 777 (rwxrwxrwx), so I leave the subject as it is.
