gnome-flashback uses nautilus, which is 'Won't Fix' because desktop support has been deprecated there. Also it's not used at all in GNOME sessions (ubuntu-session).

ubuntu-session uses gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons. So this bug is open for that. Next please report it to the upstream developer at:

  https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/ShellExtensions/desktop-icons/-/issues

and then tell us the new issue ID.

Please create separate issues for Ubuntu default session and for GNOME Flashback session...

Ubuntu default session use gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons to manage desktop icons.

In GNOME Flashback desktop icons are provided by gnome-flashback and bug should be reported here - https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-flashback/-/issues.
