Desktop freezes with infinite recursion in createItem@/<email address hidden>/dbusMenu.js:520:60

Bug Description

My desktop froze two times in the last couple of days.

I have no clue which action led to this.

All windows are frozen then, I still can move the mouse and I finally need to hit the power button for a hard reset.

/var/crash does not show anything from this week:

The logfile shows the following suspiscous line:
Mai 12 06:57:12 XPS-13-9310 gnome-shell[12865]: JS ERROR: too much recursion

I am running Ubuntu 20.04 on a Dell XPS - but I'd guess this information is included in some data.

Yes the recursion error looks like the issue. It's coming from:
/<email address hidden>

so please open the Extensions app (from package gnome-shell-extension-prefs) and disable 'Ubuntu AppIndicators'.
