After upgrade to 17.10, the Google Chrome and Hangouts icons that were previously in my top bar are gone.

Launching chrome like `XDG_CURRENT_ DESKTOP= Unity google- chrome- stable" fixes the issue. It appears that Chrome doesn't like the preset value, `ubuntu:GNOME`.
I suppose that makes this a Chrome bug, not an Ubuntu bug?
