Bug Description

My computer crashed all of a sudden while I was using empathy, skype and firefox. Not sure if crash is related to any of these programs.

Previous session I rebooted manually after gnome-panel stopped launching applications (I could open the menu but clicking on the apps would not do anything. Tried doing gnome-panel restart from both the alt+F2 and tty1 to no avail.
