Also confirmed this issue in precise.

We have two solutions -

1. Make sure g-s-d check idle-dim-* settings in gconf (gnome-control-center screen)
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-ac true
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-battery true

2. Fix gnome-session, to inhibit idle if idle-dim-* is faluse.

The 2 solution to fix gnome-session will caused screensaver never be actived. So better to fix it in g-s-d.

The UI design of "gnome-control-center screen" is very confuseing

* "Dim screen to save power" changed idle-dim-battery (GSD_POWER_IDLE_MODE_DIM)
* "Turn screen off when inactive" changed sleep-display-ac and sleep-display-battery. (GSD_POWER_IDLE_MODE_BLANK)

Both are not interrelated after all.....

In "gnome-control-center screen", it should change idle-dim-time, and text should be "Dim screen when inactive", which make more sense.
