Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

gnome-settings-daemon causes high CPU load after swithcing keyboard layouts several times, and then keyboard just goes crazy - layouts switched randomly and layout indicator (scroll lock) blinks very fast. It can be stoped only by gnome-settings-daemon restart.

Thank you for your bug report, could you check if that's still an issue after upgrading to the current version and restarting your session?

Yura, I'm too!

And I feel lucky to get everyday challenge in typing "top" and "kill ####" in terminal.
Layouts switching very fast and I'm trying to catch every English letter.

It's so crazy cool, guys!
Please leave that bug as feature in the new 10.10 release!!!!

Still present. After an hour of normal work, layout starts to switch
uncontrolable (USA <> RUS). Keyboard indicator always displays USA, I
can't change it.
For example, if I type 'qwerty', i get 'qцуrен'
It's of course a very important bug.

//Is it *only GSettingsDaemon* issue?

You can also kill (or remove from gnome-panel) the indicator-applet to stop layout switching. Then run (or add) it again.

May it be that the issue is caused by indicator-applet?
