Bug Description

This bug only occurs in Dapper, it works properly in a Breezy livecd.

I have defined the "mail key" as a keybinding of "audio lower sound" in keyboard shortcuts of Gnome (system>preferences>keyboard shortcuts). When I press the key, the sound decrease of one step, but if I maintained the key pressed, nothing happen. I wish the sound continues to decrease as in Breezy.

Same thing for audio raise volume.

I use a logitech itouch keyboard. I tried also on a Dapper livecd and this bug still occurs.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in hotkeys.

And on 7.04 or Gutsy? [Sorry, your bug have been ignored a long time]

The bug is in 7.04 too. I don't know about gusty (should I test it with liveCD?).
I am not sure it is a hotkey package bug : this package is not installed on my pc. As I said in my first message, I have define this shortcut in system>preferences>keyboard shortcuts (Gnome). The page you pointed me to identify the right package cannot help me to found what package contain the shorcut preferences of Gnome.
Thanks.

You could test on Gutsy LiveCD but it is not necessary (I would be very surprised this have changed).
If you date too, you could beginning at: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/tribe2

I right-click on your Keyboard shortcuts menu, then select "Add this launcher on the Desktop".
Then I go on Desktop, right-click "Keyboards Shortcuts", select Properties, then select Launcher Tab, then discovered the command is:
gnome-keybinding-properties, I then:
paul@Arcturus:/$ locate gnome-keybinding-properties
/usr/share/gnome-control-center/glade/gnome-keybinding-properties.glade
/usr/bin/gnome-keybinding-properties
paul@Arcturus:/$ dpkg -S /usr/bin/gnome-keybinding-properties
gnome-control-center: /usr/bin/gnome-keybinding-properties
then go to: http://packages.ubuntu.com/ in Search the content of packages/keyword put: /usr/bin/gnome-keybinding-properties
click search,
on thre result page click the package: gnome/gnome-control-center
At the lower of the page: source package: control-center, click it
voilà! That's not easier than that.

Now, I'll add this bug as affecting control-center too.

Making it Confimed on control-center, seems there is enough info for a developer to investigate.
