I confirm that I'm seeing the exact same issues (Xtightvnc causing gnome-settings-daemon to keep crashing with BadWindow on new windows being mapped, and being restarted) with the same fix (disabling the keyboard plugin for gnome-settings-daemon), in addition to the other issue with TightVNC (keyboard layout issues, #108928). I'm running hardy using coLinux and have Xtightvnc started by gdm as its standard X server.
