Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1635715/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

I noticed something this morning that may pertain to this bug report. I'm sure it's been happening for quite awhile but it just happened to catch my eye. Syslog reports:

Jan 14 11:38:50 localhost colord[1519]: (colord:1519): Cd-WARNING **: failed to get session [pid 9641]: No such device or address

Coincidentally pid 9641 is

9641 root 20 0 94600 8728 6316 S 0.0 0.2 0:00.02 cupsd

It also seems that the pid of cupsd changes every six minutes

Jan 14 11:32:49 localhost colord[1519]: (colord:1519): Cd-WARNING **: failed to get session [pid 9302]: No such device or address
Jan 14 11:38:50 localhost colord[1519]: (colord:1519): Cd-WARNING **: failed to get session [pid 9641]: No such device or address
Jan 14 11:45:49 localhost colord[1519]: (colord:1519): Cd-WARNING **: failed to get session [pid 9951]: No such device or address
