Bug Description

The cursor blings at irregular intervals wheen mouse cursor moving.

TEMPORARY WORKAROUND:
Try this to resolve it. Disconnect all but your main laptop/desktop monitors. Go to system settings->Displays. Try to delete the non-existing screen that Ubuntu adds by default. The issue should be resolved after selecting "Apply". If it doesn't, play around a little bit with the settings there, and hit Apply to see if it works...

However, after doing that, I still notice some weird behaviour (cursor freezes sometimes)...

This issue affects my freshly installed Trusty. BTW, I have a triple screen setup, and the open source xserver-xorg-video-ati video driver worked out of the box (great!). Unfortunately this persistent mouse flickering and disappearing issue is a deal breaker for me. Moreover, mouse cursor issue becomes worse when accessing Windows app through Citrix receiver.

The workaround provided does not apply to me.

This still happens on Ubuntu 15.04 64bits.
