Bug Description
Dear Developers,
I using Ubuntu 13.10 with GNOME Shell new classic session mode. When I tryed defining some super+letter shortcuts, this shortcuts are not worked my system. For example in Terminal simple typed the shortcut letter.
Two testcases with reproduced this issue:
1. Launch GNOME Control Center, and click the keyboard preference tool.
2. Goto the shortcuts page, search the icons section, and try define the launch web browser shortcut with SUPER+W keystroke.
Expected result: when press super+w keystroke, webbrowser will be start.
Actual result: nothing happening.
If I tryed super+alt+w keystroke, the webbrowser right start.
Second testcase with custom bindings related:
1. Goto custom bindings section.
2. Click Add button.
3. Type Gedit related names and command fields (launch Gedit, /usr/bin/gedit).
4. Click add button.
5. Try define the new created command a shortcut (for example Super+g keystroke).

Hi,
I upgraded with Ubuntu Trusty development release and looked this issue.
Issue is reproduced, except a difference:
When I bind for example with launch web browser command the super+w keystroke, the new keystroke executing only when I press twice the w letter.
So, I need hold down the super key and press two time the w letter to launch the web browser.
Possible fixing this issue without lost the present owerlay pane the Super key binding?
