Bug Description

This is a cross post of:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?shva=1#search/power/1335968ff326077f
as observed on Ubuntu 11.10

But since Unity is forking functionality from GNOME, I would like to indicate to the developers that this is an area where the product can be differentiated for the better!

The problem is that 1 hour is the maximum amount of time indicated for suspend or hibernate. Having a maximum of 4 would be very attractive for a user like me.

Even more attractive would be having the ability to customize the amount of time. KDE currently provides this ability.

As indicated in the GNOME bug report, Mac, Windows 7, and KDE all provided more than 1 hour as options for hibernate/suspend.

First, this affects gnome-session, not Unity.

Second, it seems like that URL is broken. Can you post a URL to the mailing list archive of the message you posted? Thanks!

affects: unity → gnome-session (Ubuntu)
