Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-session
Version: Ubuntu Karmic 9.10, gnome-session 2.28.0-0ubuntu5
Under Startup Applications Preferences --> Options tab, there is a button "Remember Currently Running Application". This sounds like it will let you pick a currently running application to remember. In fact, it remembers all running applications permanently.
Users may infer that "Remember Currently Running Application" would pop up a choose-application dialog box, which would presumably have a Cancel button. Thus they assume it is safe to press. (I did this, and apparently others have: http://
Since the GUI provides no way to undo pressing the button (this is Bug #60863), it should be clarified what it does, by renaming it to something like "Permanently Remember Running Applications".
Alternatively, just remove the button, since it's broken.
