Session management not working at all in intrepid

Bug Description

I've just installed Intrepid on several machines. Gnome session management now completely fails to work: whenever I log in no windows or apps are launched. Changing the "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" option in Preferences|Sessions makes no apparent difference. Clicking the "Remember Currently Running Application" button in the same dialog appears to do nothing at all - it used to (eventually) pop up a message saying the session had been saved; this no longer happens.

Oh, ok. I thought it ought to be reported already; it's so obvious and annoying, but none of my searches found the other report. Thanks for pointing this out.
