Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

The gnome-screenshot utility doesn't let the user choose the file format of the screenshot, it automatically saves the screenshot in .png.
I think at least .jpg should be supported because it's ligher than .png.
The use of a screenshot usually is to show others the desktop/feautures/issues/how one configured something etc...
If one wants to upload the screenshot, that is in .jpg, somewhere it takes much more time to upload than .jpg, especially if one has a slow internet connection.

Changed in gnome-utils (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
affects: gnome-utils (Ubuntu) → gnome-screenshot (Ubuntu)
