Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in gnome-screenshot (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

You don't need to move the window, full window appears if clicking in title bar.
Not seen in gnome-flashback compiz session so maybe due to switching to unity window decorator??

Well. But it's a bug anyway. Supposed to be shown by default.

For more predictable results I started gnome-screenshot from terminal.

If I do not touch its window it does not show "Copy to clipboard" and "Save" buttons.
If I remove focus from gnome-screenshot window or click on its header the button "Copy to clipboard" and "Save" buttons will show.
See attached screenshot.

Screenshotting is very often used feature, please fix this bug before upcoming LTS release.

summary: - Screenshot 'Save' button unvisible
+ Gnome-screenshot 'Copy to clipboard' and 'Save' buttons are unvisible
description: updated

Also affects indicator-sound & indicator-keyboard, may be other windows

It prevents the package (or a dependent one) from functioning correctly at all.

Changed in gnome-screenshot (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → High

I think this might be because of https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1287472.

Changed in indicator-keyboard:
status: New → Invalid
Changed in indicator-sound:

Then likely the same for gnome-screenshot -
size when opening -
Width: 616
Height: 120

After expanding by any mentioned method -
Width: 618
Height: 149

I've noticed that problem with buttons visibility persist in different windows as well. As example - system bug report Apport doesn't shows 'Send' button till Apport window get pulled left or right side.
