couldn't connect to session bus

The gnome-screensaver app does not start. When I execute it by hand, I get the
following error message:

$ gnome-screensaver
** (gnome-screensaver:21236): CRITICAL **: couldn't connect to session bus:
Unable to determine the address of the message bus
** (gnome-screensaver:21236): WARNING **: failed to register with the message bus

I'm using Breeze 5.10, totally updated.

Do you have dbus-1-utils installed?

I got the same error until I figured out that I also need dbus-1-utils to be
installed.

Yeah! that fixed the problem!

Shouldn't dbus-1-utils be a dependency of dbus? gnome-screensaver, evolution,
and other tools need this!

How can I mark this as duplicated of a bug in the launchpad?
Launchpad is the preferred bug tracking now?

 .
   * debian/control:
     - added dbus-1-utils as a dependency. (Ubuntu: #18290, Malone: #1735)

As dbus-launch add /etc/X11/Xsession.d/75dbus_dbus-launch is now in dbus (0.60)
the dependency on dbus-1-utils shouldn't be necessary anymore.
