these are two bugs, could you please file the second part against gnome-volume-manager. |

description |
I lock the screen, gnome-screensaver starts and I choose to switch user. Gnome-screensaver displays a list of users. I select one user and ask to switch, GDM starts and ask me again witch user I want to login, GDM should only asks for the password of the user selected in gnome-screensaver's list.
After login with another user, I connect my USB-key which is automatically mounted with the uid of the other user who has locked his screen, so I can't unmount the USB-key ! This bug doesn't appear everytimes, I think that both sessions have a gnome-volume-manager running and the first process that get the focus mount the USB-key for his user. |

Confirming. It would be nice if we just asked for a password after selecting the user, but if we *must* show a complete gdm screen, why not forget about the "switch to user"-sub-dialog and go to gdm immediately? |
