Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

selecting hibernate from the logout dialog hibernates, but on resume the session is not password protected.

looks similar to bug 39448, but i will let you decide

do you have /apps/gnome-power-manager/lock/hibernate set in gconf-editor? could you run gnome-screensaver --no-daemon --debug and get a lock after hibernate and resume?
