Bug Description

When I write the passwd to unlock screen, the screensaver hangs on the screen. I am able to use the keyboard and mouse, the screensaver only fills the screen.

From syslog:
Mar 11 14:38:14 fanon gnome-session[3961]: WARNING: Detected that screensaver has left the bus

Thank you for reporting this problem, it helps make Ubuntu better. Please answer the following questions:

1. Is this problem reproducable?
2. What are the steps to reproduce the problem?
3. Are you using 32 or 64bit Ubuntu?

This will help.

Changed in gnome-screensaver:

It happens on every suspend.

This also happens on my machine without using suspend/resume.

This is also an issue on my Dell Inspiron 1525, running
2.6.32-25-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 16 19:48:22 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Lucid Lynx

After I type screensaver password the screensaver image still cover the screen. I can Alt-Tab and then see the desktop in the background and activate the different windows. By killing the screensaver I can fix the problem. This happens regularly, but not every time. Often enough to be annoying..
Happens most often after inactivity timer has activated the screensaver.
