Password dialog flicker when wrong password is entered

Bug Description

Using gnome-screensaver 2.13.5, I lock the screen, type a wrong password, and then the dialog then shows "Checking password..." and waits few seconds. So far, so good.

After this, the dialog starts moving/shaking/rocking/flickering for almost a second, then it becomes "calm" again and shows the password incorrect message.

I observed the same flicker on two different machines, using different video drivers, so I guess this is not a system-dependent problem.

I didn't get it :-)

Anyway, such sudden graphical effects make me think that the program is acting strangely. IMHO a smooth effect would both consistent with the smooth fading when locking/unlocking the screen and more pleasant. More like a nice lady than an angry doorkeeper ;-)

Danilo, does this still happen? I don't ever remember it happening to me.
