Bug Description

After letting the computer sit idle for several hours (less than 24) Gnome will stop allowing new windows to be created regardless of how many are already open.

Open windows (generally) remain functional as long as they do not request to open another window. This behavior has consistently occurred in Intrepid Ibex 8.10 beta. Attached are two files containing the command line output of trying to run update-manager and k3b in this state. Logging out and back in resets the "counter" and will allow normal behavior for roughly another 24 hours.

k3b is version 1.0.5-1ubuntu6
update-manager is version 1:0.93.21
kernel is 2.6.27-3 through 2.6.27-6

Please let me know what more information I can provide.
