Upon upgrade to Yakety I encountered this error.

I wonder if it's similar to LP #1174134 "package gnome-robots (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1" which is from a few years ago and marked fixed release.

This is fixed by the patch mentioned here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=710515 (change FILES to FILE in the postrm script)

On my system, this affected gnome-nibbles and gnome-robots (version 1:3.8.0-0ubuntu1 of each).
