Bug Description

Hey guys,

I have a strange problem. Whenever I try to run my computer on battery power it will log me out after only a few minutes and I will be back at the login screen. The computer runs fine when connected to AC power. I am running 11.10 on a MSI GT660 with a i7 740 and 6GB of RAM. I have never had this problem with any other Linux distros and am kind of at a loss. I hate running my WIn 7 install, but it is the only way that I can use my laptop without plugging it in.

Let me know if you need any additional info and I will do my best to provide it.

Thank you,

SYSTEM INFO
Make: MSI
Model: GT660-003US
Processor: Intel i7-740 Quad Core
RAM: 6GB DDR3
OS: Ubuntu 11.10

Steps required to recreate problem:
All i have to do is unplug the laptop and open any program, or let it sit for a few minutes and everything will crash and I will be brought back to the login screen.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/964295/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
