This does happen on many machines I've seen. I confirm this for that reason, it's not just a bug for me, I know other people reporting the issue but nobody is following it here. If it stays in incomplete status for other 8 months (it has been till now) developers will never look at it. Feel free to remove the "confirmed" status if you think it should not be like that. |

Is this issue still affecting you by the way? If so, is your problem with the lack of informative message from gnome-power-manager, or is your problem with the inability yo hibernate (if you haven't reported a separate bug report about that)? |

Is this issue still affecting you by the way? If so, is your problem with the lack of informative message from gnome-power-manager, or is your problem with the inability yo hibernate (if you haven't reported a separate bug report about that)? |
I can confirm this on several HP Pavilions running 8.04.1 and 8.10 alpha 5+. |
