Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Just tested today's Natty daily on my netbook and when the battery icon appears in the indicator area, its menu has two entries showing the estimated remaining time instead of just one. This has not been the case under 10.04 or 10.10.

Only the "estimating..." part was already there on maverick

I upgraded my laptop to Natty today and it does not have this issue; it only happens when I boot from the livecd.

At first it didn't appear in my HP Pavilion laptop, but now it shows two remaining time indicators. And both show 'estimating...', not the remaining battery.

I'am not sure, but has anyone tried to reinstall "gnome power manager", it seems to help in my case.

Reinstalling GPM did the trick for me, at least for a few hours because the double entry is back now...

It seems it has to do with transitioning to/from AC power. If I kill
and restart gnome-power-manager, the duplicate entry goes away. If I
then unplug/plugin AC power, the duplicate comes back.

I'm having exactly the same issue. On restart the double menu is not there, but after a state change it appears. I'm running a eeepc 1005HA. I recently upgraded from 10.10 and I have all updates installed.
