Did a little bit of test :)
Restarted with power plugged in. Fine
Remove power: Fine
Attach power again: DOUBLE entry. Looks like duplicate appears on first occasion of status change from ON BATTERY to CHARGING.

I'm seeing the same bug on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1451G. Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to try, or if you'd like full system setup information.

I have the same problem here on a Gigabyte W566U laptop. The problem occurs when it runs without power.

I am seeing this as well on an HP Pavilion DV7. In addition to the duplicate line (which appears after I unplug the power cord), I always see "estimating..." instead of a time to charge or discharge (though this worked under Maverick, which I updated from). This behavior began when I updated from Maverick to Natty Beta 1.

Also, I have seen rare cases where the gnome-power-manager starts consuming about 80% cpu, and it only stops when I kill the process--but I have not seen a particular cause of this behavior, and I don't have any idea whether this is related.

I have a variant here:
HP Elitebook 8530, two batteries (primary + travel).

When on the AC adapter, I get "Laptop battery waiting to charge" on both (always, even when 100% full).
Behavior when running on batteries seems to be normal so far.

I'm also affected. it occurs when I resume after a suspend or on plugging in the AC power.

Same problem (double time left entry) on a EEEPC 1000H. Triggered by suspend/resume cycle or power plug/unplug.
