Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Ubuntu version: Feisty Fawn (Herd1) - Ubuntu (Gnome desktop)
Problem: spelling error, "Manger" should be "Manager" in the About dialogue of Power Manager Brightness Applet 2.17.4 and Power Manager Inhibit Applet 2.17.4.
Steps to reproduce:
1) RIght click on a panel > " Add to panel ... "
2) Add the Brightness Applet in the " System & Hardware " section
3) Right click on applet > About dialog
4) Wrong spelling for "Manger" should be manager

Same problem observed with Power Manager Brightness Applet. I suspect the " Power Manger" string is common to both and maybe other applets.

Thanks for your bug report. I can confirm this behaviour using feisty and gnome-power-manager 2.17.4-0ubuntu2.

Spelling mistake occurs in a couple of source files:

applets/inhibit/inhibit-applet.c
applets/brightness/brightness-applet.c

as well as throughout the translation section (which may need to be addressed through Rosetta?)

Alex, please don't do this through Rosetta. This is the sort of thing that REALLY ought to be upstream. I can fix spelling errors instantly on gnome-svn, and then every distro gets the spelling fixes. I don't watch ubuntu bugs, so please file bugs like this on gnome.org. Thanks.

Sorry Richard, I should have passed upstream, I just wasn't sure what the go was with translations.

I've checked bugzilla and http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393388 seems to cover same bug.

This has been fixed in Gutsy Gibbon if not earlier.
