Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I have a Lenovo T410 laptop running 64-bit Maverick Meerkat.
My gnome-power-manager package version is 2.32.0-0ubuntu1
The battery state displays incorrectly when the computer is not plugged in - with a fresh charge the battery state on a new battery, you would want the battery state indicator to happily display that the battery is fully charged. Instead it comes up as 10% and the indicator is red. It does however give you the correct number of hours.
I looked into the stats and the problem is that gnome-power-manager incorrectly thinks my battery's energy when full is 518.1 Wh when really it is only 51.81. All the other stats are correctly recognized - such as energy (design), energy, energy when empty.
It is a bug in this package because GKrellM System Monitor handles this correctly and also Windows does when I boot into it on the rear occasion.
