Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Since the installation of a fresh 10.04 when I set both "Put computer to sleep", and "Put display to sleep" to "Never", upon a new login, the display will sleep after 10 minutes.

However, if I click "Make Default" the setting is honored and the display doesn't sleep.

A slight elaboration on the description above:

The settings will always display as "Never", and on a new login, the display will sleep after 10 minutes. This is changed when I click "Make Default" on Power Management Preferences as a user. When I log out and back in, or reboot, the display sleeps after 10 minutes until Make Default is clicked, after which is works correctly until relogin, or reboot.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Gnome Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
