Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Power Manager Brightness Applet 2.30.0 does not respond to mouse clicks. Neither touchpad nor USB mouse.
Ubuntu 10.04
LTS Release: 10.04.

Installed: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1

This is a Compaq Presario V6503AU. AMD Turion x2 processor, 4G memory. Running 64bit version of Ubuntu.
Expected: The brightness applet should respond to the mouse, either clicking for a particular level to click and drag to get the desired level. Brightness changes should occur quickly.
Experienced: The brightness icon opens fine on a left click. Any other click or click and drag on the level just closes the applet back to the icon with no change in brightness levels.
Note: I can manually set the brightness by manipulating /proc/acpi/
This worked fine under 9.10.
Output from /proc/acpi/
levels: 20 24 28 32 37 43 50 59 69 81 95
current: 95
This was a distribution upgrade from 9.10, not a fresh install.
