Dear Team,

What's wrong with suspend ? I fail to understand the point here.

From google search:
[Suspend mode powers down devices that are not needed in order to safe electricity, e.g. it may switch the monitor, sound card or modem off and turn them back on when you return from suspend mode.]

To me, it word 'suspend' sounds more consistent with the intended function and with other linux distributions including the upstream ones mentioned above.

Except as in comment #4 -- I agree; "sleep" is a preferable word, and is also the Apple usage for its notebooks.
and if that is the case, to me that's a No-Go. Not that I am anti-something, rather I would like us to retain our unique identity.
