quick work :) I'll wait till 2 drops by mi mirrors and will confirm this, also the bug is not so much harmless - I can no longer put the machine to sleep with this version by closing the lid.

will wait for 2, maybe it will too fix another issue, i.e. on this notebook (geforce 7600, VBI compal EL80) sleeping works but not waking up. The screen remains blank.

Please check all versions since version 2.29.2-0ubuntu3. On my system the latest version of gnome-power-manager, which works properly is version 2.29.2-0ubuntu3. All the newer versions have problems with displaying icons, messages, after moving the mouse on the icon.
