Bug Description
Binary package hint: netbook-launcher
Hello, there is a problem with the power manager when using 9.10 on the acer aspire one netbook. When the netbook is not plugged into a power source and thus running from it's battery, the power icon will show the netbook as being 'fully charged'. This does not happen every single time, but probably on more than three quarters of occasions.
Step 1 - Turn on Acer Aspire One netbook with power cable attached and start Ubuntu 9.10.
Step 2 - Remove power cable for a short time in order to drain some of the battery.
Step 3 - Put power cable back into netbook
Step 4 - Hover mouse cursor over power icon. Text will say 'Laptop Battery Charging (PERCENTAGE)'
Step 5 - Unplug charger, text will now say 'Laptop battery is fully charged' This is wrong as the battery is not fully charged.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, the issue is on gnome-power- manager, not netbook-launcher, reassigning.
