Switching to AC at below $critical still produces warning

Bug Description

The battery reached below critical, then I suspended to RAM (using Fn-F4) to check that it did last that long with no problem at all... I then inserted AC power below resuming. The "critical" warning keeps flashing, despite the switch to AC:

This continues until $critical is suppassed from the applet returns to completely normal behaviour.

Lets find out when I manage to run this battery down in 1:16 with full backlight and CPU.
