Bug Description

bug #18762 seems to have resurrected itself:

If I suspend my laptop (an IBM X31 using Fn+F4), when I resume the laptop, the X
display flashes it's contents before the screensaver unlock window is displayed.

This is a security risk, as you are exposing the display contents to anyone.

(I am using acpi-support 0.53, gnome-power-manager 0.3.4-0ubuntu6, gnome-screensaver 2.13.90-0ubuntu1

Can you please confirm if this still happens in the latest package of gnome-power-manager?

I'm reopening this, because this exact issue happens on my laptop using Hardy. I'm using a Compal CL-56. Basically, it looks like video memory needs to be wiped and/or the screensaver is getting run *after* the suspend.

That said, shouldn't this be fixed in the X server?
