Bug Description
There is insufficient warning of a critically low battery.
On my T61 ThinkPad, you get a few little pop-up yellow boxes near the battery indicator saying things like 10%, and 5%,
but then after a few more minutes, the machine just switches off.
On Windows, you get a battery critical warning sound - like a siren, which makes you realise you need power quickly and grab a cable.
I have had several times where Ubuntu has simply run out of batteries and I wasn't really very conscious that it was getting that low.
Either a critical warning sound, or a more in-your-face notification, like in the middle of the screen, not the top right, would be more helpful
