Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Gnome Power Manager detects correctly that I have a laptop with a battery. I also detects whether I'm charging or discharging the battery.
When I unplug the AC adapter, it even gives me a popup notification : "The AC Power has been unplugged". It says explicitly that the system is running on battery power.
Still, when I hover my mouse over the icon of a battery, it says: "Computer is running on AC power".
acpi -V gives the status of the adapter correcter, as does HAL.
The problem is not so much the tooltip but that the suspend behavior doesn't come through. When I close the lid of my laptop, the screen blanks, instead of suspending as it should do.
