Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Hi,

On my machine (Sony Vaio BZ11XN), g-p-m crashes every two minutes or so . I hope apport has joined all relevant information, else feel free to ask. My Intrepid is up-to-date as of “now”, and g-p-m is still crashing.
here you will find the trace of the --verbose --no-daemon log on command line, related to the crash :

Hi, this crash could be related to http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-kernel/2008/7/18/2562204 , which message appears on my computer dmesg.

don't forget the more recent http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-kernel/2008/7/18/2566854 , with a patch ;-)
I didn't try it yet, i'm investigating how to recompile the Ubuntu kernel with the patch, but cleanly (i don't wan't to mess with hand-installed kernel on this machine).
