Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I noticed that there is no way to set LCD brightness on my ACER Extensa 5210 with Ubuntu 8.04 via gnome-power-manager while adjusting brightness through hardware keys works fine.
The problem is that even if I set LCD brightness via hardware keys, Ubuntu doesn't remember settings during next startup.
In version 7.10 gnome-power-manager showed controls (sliders) to predefine brightness. This controls are missing in 8.04.
