If login into gnome and disable gnome power manager, laptop mode settings remain unchanged.

when ac power is plugged and unplugged, the settings of gnome power manager triggers first, then the laptop mode settings.

The settings here includes MAX_LOST_WORK_SECONDS, DIRTY_RATIO and etc, which can be examined by sudo laptop_mode status

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release, Hardy 8.04.01? Thanks in advance.
