screen brightness doesn't return to proper level

Bug Description

On Gutsy Gibbon Alpha 5, with a Dell E1505 Laptop:

On the default install, the screen has an auto dim when the computer is idle for a certain amount of time. The screen dims to the lowest brightness level (so I can still see the screen, it's just dim), but when I move the mouse or type something ("wake up" the computer), the brightness only goes up a little bit, and I have to manually increase the brightness to its previous level.

It's a ridiculously sweet feature, and I may have just set something up wrong, but I've gone through the "Power Save" panel options, and I think this isn't supposed to function like this.

For the OP, you have to set the "dim brightness by" to "0%" in order for it to be fully bright.

I have a related problem, however, in that if I set it to 0% and then dim it manually, it will "dim" to full-bright when idle. This is counter-intuitive.
