Bug Description

When I press the power button on my laptop, a menu appears asking me what I want to do. Clicking on "Suspend" will not cause anything to happen. Clicking suspend from the top right menu of the screen works just fine. I'm using Ubuntu 12.10.

I'm having the same problem too.
I have gnome 3.6 on Ubuntu 12.10 and have enabled Alternative Status Menu from Tweak Tools > Shell Extensions. Still, when I want to Suspend the system for a while, I click on the Suspend button from the Username menu in the top right corner of Gnome desktop environment but nothing happens. In Unity desktop environment, everything works fine.

Same problem here. I haven't found any solution yet. I'm running an unchanged Unity desktop environment. My notebook is a Dell D630.

Same problem on desktops. If I press power button, dialog appears with options: "Poweroff, suspend, etc". But if I press a button, nothing happens.
