Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it? (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)

Hi,
I tried with different steps but I am not be able to reproduce the problem,
maybe is correlated to another problem when I ran "apt-get update" I had a
problem with "x11-common, xorg, xserver-xorg" packages because I have a
never ending message:

Valore di nice errato (the value for nice is wrong)
Inserire un intero compreso fra -20 e 19 (put a value in the range -20,19)

It's not likely, that bug happens randomly to different people, we are still looking for a valgrind log though

Hi Sebastien,
I ran valgrind on gnome-panel and after I used about 20 times the
update-manager to update system, also I used synaptic after a while valgrind
process dumped.Here the log.
