Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1) add "Force Quit" applet to panel
2) get a large file (70 megs in this case) and rename it to end with .sh
3) open the file with gedit. gedit freezes.
4) click on "Force a misbehaving application to quit" applet
5) the applet starts, but clicking anywhere does nothing. Pressing esc does nothing.
I didn't find a way to exit this situation without killing gnome-session from VT and this caused unsaved work to be lost.

This happened to me again. I was trying to kill disk usage analyzer which stopped working.
I was able to get rid of the "click on misbehaving app" dialog after killing metacity and gnome-panel. After this keyboard didn't respond any more so i was forced to restart X.
