Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Currently, even if the lockdown options are set, users cannot hide the "Places" entry from the menu bar.
Here is a patch taken from RedHat's bugzilla to provide a GConf key to give users the opportunity to hide 'Places' without re-compiling:
