Keyboard shortcuts doesn't work in Gnome Menu

Bug Description

Applies to Gnome-desktop

Press:

 <alt>-F1

The menu opens.

Now press the key "G" two times, becuase you want to go down to "G"raphics.

Does the highlighted menu item move? Not much.

Reproducible? Every single time.

Annoying? Yes, very

Mine doesn't even move at all! Although in mine the g isn't underlined? Not sure if that's normal, getting used to Gnome/X.

I'm so sorry. It started working, so for me it's a sporadic problem.

The only time I got it not to work was when I had the menu open already then I did alt+f1, and each time that I repeat that same process I can't get it to repeat now anymore. Sorry.

Maybe put up dmesg, lspci, syslog, etc?

The thing is if you do:

<alt>-F1
<arrow down>
g
g

...you get the wanted result. Its related to how key strokes are interpreted within the gnome menu. If you do:

<alt>-F1
s

..you'll get the "System" menu instead of "Sound and Video". "System" is wrong. "Sound and Video" is right.
